The times of steam railways ended, but the fashion for vintage trains as tourist attraction has only recently begun. The older the carriges and steam engines, the more carefully restored, the larger is the queue for tickets. The fame of the well known BLUE TRAIN has been somehow overshadowed in recent years by the creation of two private railway lines, ROVOS RAIL and SHONGOLOLO, offering routes from Namibia, through the whole of South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi to Tanzania
